"The first time I heard Lalah Hathaway, I knew I wanted to sing. Music has always been a part of my life, but what happened at that moment (I was 14); what I felt; I knew I wanted to share that with others. That was the day I understood the power of music and that was the day I first fell in love."
Music runs through Celestial's veins. With musicians on both sides of the family, she was destined to fall for music, and fall she did. From singing in the church choir to traveling the country with the famed Cotton Blossom Singers (under the direction of Lindy G. McLeod), Celestial has been involved with music for as long as she can remember.
Celestial uses life's everyday experiences as her muse to create a musical space that is her own, where she can express herself freely. Celestial's self-titled sophomore release takes the listener on a soulful, musical Ride with beats that make you move, lyrics that you can relate to, and vocals to soothe you. Celestial's urban lyrical style of songwriting is seamlessly woven into neo soul/jazz influenced music that is warm and inviting to the listener. Celestial strives to touch the hearts of those who hear her and hopes that they experience the love that she puts into her craft.
